Emmet leads the PRI’s Active Ownership 2.0 programme, supporting investors in pursuing sustainability outcomes through their stewardship activities. Current priorities under the programme include improving integration of stewardship into asset owners’ selection, appointment and monitoring of their investment managers; improving the resourcing of investor stewardship activities; and advancing investor practices on holding board members accountable for corporate sustainability performance. Prior to his current role Emmet led the PRI’s UK policy engagement work. He has previously worked in corporate law, and also led the French and Benelux research teams at the proxy advisor Glass Lewis. He also works to improve employee knowledge and engagement on sustainability issues.
